     To enable the students to get familiarized with world class standards of design, automation, aesthetics and ergonomics of manufacturing industry, automobile and process industry, Mechanical Engineering branch is poised to train the students with latest equipments and machineries like UTM, CNC Machine, latest software's and highly equipped lab like.

• Mechanical engineering department was started in the year 2007 with the intake of 60 students.
• Faculty members with 21 years, 17 years, 12 years of teaching experience groom the students.
• State level achievement: 22 students scored centum in a single subject( Design of Machine Elements)
• To enables the students to get familiarized with world class standards of design, automation, aesthetics, and ergonomics of manufacturing industry.
• Train the students with latest equipments and machineries like UTM, CNC machine and latest software's.
• Conducts workshops, value added courses and arrange in plant training in industries. To prepare the students to equipped themselves and meet their industrial challenges.
• An additional intake of 60 students was sanctioned by AICTE in the year of 2009 and there by the total intake from then on is 120 students.
• By lateral intake 24 students are additional admitted in the second year.
• Mechanical association was started in the year 2008 though which a number of seminars, symposium and workshops, were conducted to enrich the knowledge of the students.
• Our students have participated in a number of paper presentations in various colleges in and around Tamilnadu.
• Every year we achieved 100% placement.
• Every year disaster management program was conducted for our students.
• First aid training is provided for our students.
• Students are encouraged to attend service activities like eye camp, blood camp, temple cleaning, and services at old age home, orphanage, etc.
• A water purifying plant has been erected by department of Mechanical engineering.
• Establishing a night soil and water treatment plant is under consideration.
• MOU has been signed with C-Cube technologies.

Final year mech - (A) students visited - Brakes India Limited , Padi,Chennai on 21.12.2013,

Final year Mech - (B) students visited - Global Automative Research,Sriperambathur,Kanchipuram (Dt) - Chennai on 21.12.2013 as Industrial visit.
